sore throat
Thursday, April 30, 2009 10:02 AM
i'm not at school today, because i told my mom i had a sore throat (i really do) and she just told me to stay home. haha. i love how people freak out about the swine flu (:

but of course, whenever i stay home i always miss out on important things (every single time), like election day at school (vote for sam chong for secretary), a video on sti's in health, and a science test. oh, and a math quiz but i still have to study for that so it's 'kay. hopefully i won't have to watch the video on sti's during lunch....alone.... with my PE teacher. that would be so awkward.

sooo yeah

this week went by really slow... that's probably the first time in a few months.

hmmmyeah. i feel like talking about more things, but i'm too lazy.
i'm supposed to be asleep but i really don't want to, even though i'm tired.

AWAY
Tuesday, April 28, 2009 5:32 PM
YES! SUCCESS!
good day today! quite wonderful!
alright, so i wake up at 6:50 today, which totally starts off my perfe
ct day because i usually set my alarm at tha
t time, but wake up at 7:10 instead. but TODAY i woke up on time!
which meant that i got to eat breakfast, get lunch, and get ready for school without really rushing!

then, PE. it was okay, not very exciting. we made fun of
eugenia because she had a cold or flu or something, and i was half joking about her having the swine flu (even though i was also worrying that she really did). it was a bad idea in the end because after she purposely coughed in her hand and wiped it on me all day.

science was... okay, as well, kind of exiciting. it was nardin's birthday today so we sang happy bday to him twice (one with the whole class, the second time in the middle of class HAHA). i love my science class. we looked at ... umm... uhh... ar... something. archedonians? ...sure. okay whatever, science is stupid.

BIBLE. BEST.....FUNNIEST THING EVER!! OMG. OMG GOMG. hahahahaha lololololll :D:D:D sooo i was talking to alyssa, olivia, kinda ashley ni
cole, and jack. nicole and jack were arguing about fairies and queens and mules, so me, alyssa, and olivia walked off to another part of the classroom because they were getting annoying hahaha. and then nicole follows us, and alyssa looks down at her hand and notices blue stars on her hand (like she put her hand on wet ink or something). so she says, "whoa, where'd i get these stars?!?"

we start laughing, because it was kind of funny. the
n we look around her to see what she could've put her hand on to get those stars on her hand. "oh, my shirt has stars" she said, but they were purple stars on her shirt. so nicole looks at my shirt, and says, "alyssa, what did you do to kali?" because there were stars on my shirt.
(and btw, if you can't tell by the picture, the stars are on a... special part of my body that it would be odd to touch)

and then we start cracking up for like 7-8 minutes straight. my stomach started hurting like i just got a work out and my throat got all dry and everything. hahahahaha. the whole class was staring at us laughing because we were laughing SO POOPING HARD. SERIOUSLY, that was the funniest thing i've ever seen, no joke. LOL LOL.

yeah... that was pretty much the highlight of my day.
also, while andrea was getting tutored, i met this guy named jared (diane's friend) who looked EXACTLY and TALKED, DRESSED exactly like this kinda famous guy on youtube. freaky stuff.

underwater
Monday, April 20, 2009 7:35 PM
right now i'm on my porch in my backyard facing... my backyard and the wonderful view of the houses above my house. i live on a mountain so all the houses aren't very lined up perfectly, and it looks like a wave of houses because of all the uneven-ness of the hills. i have my earphones in my ears with no sound on so all i can hear is the loud bird chirping outside and my breathing. (that's how good these skullcandy earphones are) it reminds me of when i'm holding my breath underwater and all i can hear is - i was gonna say my breathing, but i realized how impossible that was - just my movements.

it feels like summer already started because of the hot hot weather, and if anyone told me summer started on saturday, i would have believed them 100% because that just shows how hot it is (and how i'm the only one who doesn't know when seasons start). i really hate the hot weather because it makes me grumpy, but now that it's hot it also makes me feel happy inside. it reminds me of last summer and just pure happiness for some reason, and i never felt this way before. it reminds me of nature because right now i hear a grasshopper ... making whatever noises they make even though it's not even night time and that's usually when i hear them. it reminds me of how fast my first year of high school went by. i feel like just yesterday i was in the mall deciding what backpack to get. seriously. and now i only have less than a month of school left (if you don't count weekends) when all the other schools have like 2 months or so. it's kinda happy because i get to finally relax, but this is my last year here and it's really sad & i'll miss everyone.

so now i'm not so sure if i like summer or not anymore.

and why is the weather so weird right now?

morning

Second blog today, because spring break is boringg! Well, I guess it's not really "today" since it's 1:26 AM, but still.

Soo "today" was interesting. We changed our plan or something on DirecTV, so now we added Asian channels and took out Animal Planet and other cool channels and our TV's all messed up. Yay.

Then a pastor came to my house and started singing songs, and I think he dressed an old lady at my house up in a purple robe. Huh.

I ate junk food non-stop.

I went to the "Great" Mall, which is a poopy mall, and bought friends birthday presents (see last blog post)! They're small, but expensive.

And then I watched Slumdog Millionaire for the 2nd time and decided it has a kinda pointless plot, but it's very interesting.

Then I went to a Chinese resturant and ate crocidile meat (good) and deer meat (great. Tastes like beef).

And now I'm home.

Oh, and I got accepted into my school that I'm going to next year, and BTW, I'm pretty sure they just accepted me for my money because I barely did any work trying to get into that school. The school I'm in now - I had to write an essay and take a test and everything. But this school (which is WAY MORE academic than my school now and so much more expensive and famous - if you're  from Taiwan, you must know this school) just accepted me and my sister in. I didn't have to do anything at all, hah! Just want the money...

I didn't even get a cool acceptance letter :( they just emailed my mom a short un-fancy email.

birthdays...
Tuesday, April 14, 2009 3:49 PM
Birthdays are exciting, but sometimes I just hate them. The exciting part is that it's that special time of the year, and everyone finally pays attention to you for just one day, and you get all this cool stuff and everything, but the part I hate about it is growing up, and what I'm going to talk about: the parties & presents.

Whenever I'm invited to a birthday party, I feel like stress has just put down upon me, really. I just hate the fact that I have to spend hours searching for a perfect present. I mean, I love giving gifts to my friends and everything (it makes me happy), but I always worry that they won't like it, or they'll think I'm "cheap".

I mean, for some reason, people think that giving money away as a present or a gift card is "cheap". At least, one of my friends do. One time she was complaining about how she spent "so much money" buying her friends gifts and all they give her is money or a gift card. Oh, come on. The last present she gave me was Nutrigrain bars and a bag of dark chocolate M & Ms and some other kinds of foods. I'm not saying I don't appreciate her gift - I do, but when she said how she spent so much money for friends, I kinda scoffed inside. Anyways, isn't money like, the perfect gift?! How is it cheap?! At least your friends GAVE you a present - back then apparently the birthday person was supposed to give gifts to his or her guests, not the other way around. And plus, with the money, you can choose what to do with it and actually make sure you get a gift you want.

So I always want to give my friends a gift card (so they have more variety) or money, but I don't want to seem cheap... so I buy them both.

But now I'm going to the Great Mall (which isn't so great) to buy 2 friends a birthday present... sigh... too much work when I can give them some cash.

a break from the easy stuff
Monday, April 13, 2009 2:08 PM
Alright, so Spring Break started on Friday (thank you, Jesus, literally), and like everyone else, I was super excited, but now I think I'd rather be at school.

Things I have to do over break:
  1. Work on Algebra 2 PROJECT. Yeah, project. We're making pictures out of conical graphs or whatever they're called. Fun, right? And it's only worth 10 points for such a hard project. Seriously, a project! In math!
  2. I have to contact lots of people because I'm importing my 2 cats when I move to Taiwan (basically, I'm bringing them to Taiwan with me) and I hate calling people on the phone and making appointments and everything. It makes me feel poopy. Grrrr. I hate this.
  3. History essay. Yet another one. At least it's not too bad - it's about the Crusades, but it's really not that bad. Still, essays are torture.
  4. Cleaning up my room. I just hate this.
  5. English project.

Bleh, I'm so lazy. I always procrastinate. I can't do this. :(

This week I've also had some kind of odd urge to make videos on YouTube. I mean, it sounds fun, and has anyone else ever noticed that a lot of YouTube stars are Asian like Nigahiga, Kevjumba, Communitychannel, happyslip, thewinekone, etc. ??! Maybe I'll finally have a chance to be famous!  People on YouTube scare me though.
