I've been sick for the whole week almost because my sister was sick and I wanted to eat some of her Pixie Stick (I think that's what it's called) and I decided that since I never get sick when I share her food when she's sick, I wouldn't get sick this time. But I did, I think because her saliva and spit and slobber was all over the Pixie Stick.
I thought I got mono from her, 'cause I had all the symptoms, but my doctor told me I had a fever and a throat infection. :/ It was horrible. Usually when I get really sick (like 104 degree fevers) it lasts 1-2 days, and when it's like a really small runny nose or cold it lasts like a week or so, which is really weird. This time my fever lasted FOREVER (it felt like).
But someone told me to go to the doctor, and for the first time, I did (going to the doctor for being sick), and I got antiboitics (sp) and some throat medicine. And after the second dose my fever was totally gone. My throat is a little better.
Yesterday I felt so bad I thought I was gonna die so I almost wrote a will and a good-bye letter to my family HAHA. I didn't though, because I didn't wanna move.
going home
Sunday, January 25, 2009 9:54 AM
This vacation went by too fast. I'm going home soon.
I'm so bored and I have no life that I'm gonna make a list of what to bring on a vacation!
- Face wash
- Face towel (they're usually dirty at the hotel)
- Toothbrush
- Cup, if you don't want to use theirs
- Toothpaste
- Camera (underwater case, too, if you're in the water)
- Camera charger
- Cellphone AND cellphone charger!
- Wallet that you WON'T lose, with money (of course)
- Nail clippers (I always bring this. I hate long nails :P)
- Book (might be boring on the ride/plane ride to the place)
- Flip flops if needed
- Casual shoes if needed
- Tennis shoes if needed
- Small bottle of shampoo/conditioner if you don't like the hotel's
- Lotion/body wash
- For clothes: Maybe have a shirt per day, plus a little extra just in case. Jackets: One per three-four days. Jeans: One per few days, depends on when you usually changes jeans. Socks: One per day, plus extra. Underwear: One per day, plus extra (trust me, you'll most likely need extra)
- And of course, bring whatever you nee depending on where you're going. If you're swimming: Swimming suit. Etc.
I think that's it. :D
Napa day 1
Friday, January 23, 2009 11:27 PM
I'm in Napa Valley right now! And not for the wine. (Whenever I say I'm going to Napa Valley everyone always tells me to get them some wine. Everyone.) We're going for the hot springs.
Which I do not enjoy anymore. I hate the heat, and the hot springs are extremely hot. My pooping goodness. It's so hot everything's so steamy it looks like clouds when you lie on your back and float on top of the water. It is relaxing, but it's so hot it's horrible for me. The hotel is also quite disgusting.
Today
-I bought a box of Whoppers and bag of Jolly Ranchers! Yum!
-A man was eating with his friend and his butt crack was showing...hahaha.
-A man came out of the bathroom and wet toilet papers were stuck to his feet. :((
-I saw Yogi today! (A friend's dog!) She's so cute!
I hope this place gets better..
PTL! :D

FANTASTIC day today!
Thought today would be horrible because of all the homework the night before, but I was totally wrong.
-It rained. YES. And it was getting hotter too, so it was unexpected to me.
-I didn't bring my photo homework to class, but I'm pretty sure she'll let me turn it in late.
-History was actually not that boring...the sub is a lot better than the real teacher.
-Only had one thing to do for homework today - which I have to start on.
-Which means that I could go to Bible study today, which I came back from an hour ago.
-Shared my testimony, yay! And people were moved!
-My sister found my iPod!! And because I got a Macbook with iTunes 8 + I can actually sync my iPod and everything.
I'm so happy! Thank you Lord Jesus! And God! And the trinity!
obama, cats, homework, fbi, tons.
Tuesday, January 20, 2009 11:12 PM
weird day today.
obama was inaugrated. don't know what i feel about that. i wanted mccain to win, because liberal things scare me, but it's kinda alright with me that obama's president now. i'm a little worried on what's gonna happen, but somehow i have confidence in him. i don't agree with most of obama's views, like abortion and homosexuality, but i still respect him and i'm kinda excited/scared (haha) to see what he'll do.
a few more things:
- i love sammy right now. he's a cutie. and fat. and a cat. he's a fat cat that no one loves 'cept me. i'm gonna take him on a walk soon just for eugenia hahaha.
- sooo busy with homework today. ugh. i'm not even gonna do my history homework because it's so complicated. and it's scaring me because again, i have a 2.0 and i don't wanna lower it.
- stupid neighborhood. some fbi car raced through the highway to catch someone or something. and then i saw a police car chase someone.
- i've been searching for cameras for an extremely long time because i'm a SUPER picky person when buying things over $20. i finally found the camera i used to have - a casio exilim with youtube capture mode, except it's more expensive and better AND I WANT IT BADLY. i'm gonna get it soon! yay!
thank God tomorrow's a late day!
oh yeah, and today i saw some fbi cars chasing something on the highway, and then police cars chasing another car a few minutes later. stupid neighborhood :(
bad because it's good
Monday, January 19, 2009 11:01 PM
hello, hello. (wow i typed "hell" at first. i think this is an omen.)
today was a bad day because it was so good. people interested in renting our house came over to look at it. and i walked/biked outside at night again. that's basically it. and now it's over. and there's school tomorrow. that's why it's so bad. because all the good stuff are gone. so bad. it's bad.
and i also found out i have a 2.0 gpa now. i guess that's because only my photo, math, and bio grades are entered, but still. (A in bio, C in photo because the teacher entered something wrong, and F in math. woo.) i feel horrible. i've NEVER had a gpa under 3.5. i freak out if i get bad grades. but i'm too lazy to work. i hate myself. i also hate aleks. that's why i have such a bad grade in math. i always plan on doing all 75 min. of aleks sunday night, but i realized that mrs. gallatin probably won't grade aleks 11 in the evening.
i hate myself. and school. and aleks. whoever made aleks, i'm gonna sue you when i grow up.
night bike
Sunday, January 18, 2009 10:45 PM
different day.
different work.
different breakfast.
different kids.
different discipline.
different laugh.
different boss.
different house.
different languages.
night.
same go home.
same prayers.
same "turn off the lights".
same darkness.
same silence.
same sheep.
same tucking in.
same blankie.
same pillow.
same night.
my favorite thing to do at night is to ride my bike with my mom and sister. sometimes we argue with each other like a normal family, but once we ride our bikes at night, even if i'm the only one that enjoys it, i feel like we're more of a family. it's really peaceful at night. my neighborhood is scary at daytime most of the time because there's crazy people here, but at night, when people are ready to go to bed, it's really nice. sometimes we bike through the streets and i look around at each house. it's so cool. it's crazy during the day time and everyone's doing different things, but once it's night time we come to our own same house, and sleep in the same bed, and everything's...the same.
語言
Saturday, January 17, 2009 4:14 PM
follow the nothing, robots.

Sometimes I feel like I'm like, living in some fake world or something. A world where we just... live for one single thing, but then we know we're going to die right after and so there's basically no point in living for that one single thing. We ignore all the threats of...bad things happening and just live on. I don't know if that makes sense, but I feel like we live for one single thing - money, basically. Money, fame, power, actually, but I think that kinda counts as one thing.
We are born, we go to school so we can get a great job (so we can survive on our money when we grow up), we study and we are pressured by our parents and teachers to do better (so we can survive on our money when we grow up), we apply to the best universities we can apply to (so we can make more money), and then we work (so we can make more money). It's like the whole point of life is to survive, but if the point of life is to live, then what's the point of life, really? Does that make sense? It's like saying the point of having fun is to have fun - that's not really answering the question. You're just repeating it.
And then we die after we achieved whatever we achieved. Isn't it pointless? We live to live, and then we die, so in the end, you're living to die. I am a Christian and everything, of course. I believe that the point of life is to live your life for God, but I still wonder why the whole world lives to live. Ugh, it's hard to explain if you don't understand. I mean like, I believe in a heaven and everything, and I believe that after you achieve whatever you achieve, you go to heaven, which is a kazillion - not even, actually - times better than making a kazillion billion dollars while you're alive. But how about the people who don't believe in heaven? Do they live to live to die?
I feel like this is a retarded question. And wow! I just realized that this is a good question for atheists. Really, I've always wondered since they don't believe in a god in everything, what's the point of life for them? I guess at least if you're a Christian, you have something more to live for.
chinese, facials, teachers.
Saturday, January 10, 2009 6:05 PM
Weird day today...
Today I had a Chinese final in Chinese class. I kinda cheated (cheat sheet, heh). I don't even know why, I'm not going back there anyways. Hah! I'm NEVER GOING BACK TO CHINESE CLASS EVER AGAIN. HAHAHAHAH SUCKERS. :D
Then I had a facial. OMG. I think on TV and stuff, they make facials sound all rich and cool and ... awesome, but it's horrible. They stick a needle in my face fifty million times, basically. Or at least that's what it feels like, because they BLINDFOLD MY EYES. It was so painful I couldn't breathe (maybe because they were sticking the needle - more like stabbing - into my nose. I mean, not the nostril part. But the skin. Haha). I started crying because it was SO painful and then they stopped. Ugh. It's horrible. It's like hell, except there's no fire.
And now I'm waiting for one of the Bible teachers from Valley to come to my house because theyre interested in renting our house. I bet they'll hate it. Everyone else never returned my mom's call about whether they wanted to rent our house or not. :/
Prejudice Us
Tuesday, January 06, 2009 10:45 PM
Here's the most obvious tip ever: being prejudice isn't right.
I've always ranted about how I hate it when people are prejudice, like how because I'm Asian, I should totally be the one whose paper should be copied of off, and everyone assumes I'm some big nerd. Two things - okay, I guess that's kinda stereotyping too, and I actually am a big nerd most of the time. But not all the time! I hope. But anyways, I always have said how much I hate it when people do that, but seriously, I do that all the time. And to be honest, you do, too. It's human nature, obviously.
People being prejudice towards me:
Everyone basically make fun of Asians. Even Asians make fun of Asians. So I'm pretty sure I've been called a nerd or something behind my back. Even some people I know totally act all prejudice towards my nationality and language, and they totally have it all wrong. I use totally a lot.
Oh, and the Prop 8 rally. HAHA. Wow. People were "totally" leaning out of their car and stopping in the middle of the road just to tell us how "beeping beeping stupid our beeping opinion beeping was because we're beeping discrimination beeping violent beeping Asians beeping supporters of beeping Prop beeping 8". Of course I'm not quoting them exactly, but the swearing at us and leaning out of their car and everything else is true. They didn't take any time to understand and sit down to listen to what our opinion was. Sure, they didn't like how we don't support homosexual marriage, but that's our opinion, and we respect theirs, just like how they should respect our opinion. They called us violent, when all we did is smile at them and cheer and walk around the streets. We never swore at them back, at least, we weren't supposed to.
Of course, I've been prejudice towards others too:
A few years ago, my mom met this guy, and they became...close. (BTW, she's not having an affair because my dad's gone) I was really insecure back then, because I was extremely close to my mom, and if you've gone through what I have years back, you would have probably at least understood what my feelings were. I was hurt, angry, upset, and seriously depressed. Just imagine your best friend in the whole wide world - your best friend, someone who you can tell anyone to that has been by your side your whole entire life - and then him/her leaving you for someone else. My mom obviously didn't leave me, but that's what I felt like. I cried and yelled at her and even yelled at her...close friend. He yelled at me back, telling me it wasn't my business, which made me even more angry. I read in books dealing with this kind of stuff about girls who also went through this, and in the end, they said that they bonded with him/her. I was so angry I thought I could never be close to my mom's...close friend.
Now a few years later, I know a lot about him. He spoils us. I'm not close enough to like, hug him or anything, because it's awkward, but I'm defiently a lot closer to him than before. I totally pre-judged him. He wasn't as bad and horrible as I thought. He's actually really rich, haha, and like I said, he spoils me, my mom, and sister. I got the 3rd generation iPod Nano for Christmas back when it was new, and a Macbook. To be honest, if I ask for something, he'll give me it. He's different from my dad, probably spoils me more than my dad did, and is a heck of a lot richer. Of course I would never love him more than my dad, but he is a really cool guy. His life story is interesting. He's worked with the FBI and some top US political people because of his law suit against a country. I would say more, but I can't.
That's not the only time I've judged someone without getting to know them. Oh, I've done it billions of times, and each time I feel guiltier and guiltier, because I bet they're totally great people, and if not, they're probably just not the kind of people that I like. I'm sure they're loved by others. And I'm even more pretty darn sure people judge me without getting to know me, and I wouldn't like that, so why would I judge others? I'm not saying I'll never do it again - of course I'll do it again, but probably without thinking, or I'm just acting like a stupid hypocrite again.
Marley & Me.
Friday, January 02, 2009 12:18 AM

Marley as a puppy :) in the movie.
If you're a dog lover, watch this movie. If you're not a dog lover, ...watch this movie. You will cry, I promise. This movie is so good I'm gonna go watch it again. There's some kissing scenes though that are pretty awkward if you're watching with parents or something.
